SENIOR BI BUSINESS ANALYST

Werner Co. d/b/a ProDriven Brands, in Itasca IL, seeks a Senior BI Business Analyst for a hybrid position in the Global IT Department performing business analysis and project management duties with a focus on business Intelligence and data analysis projects.  This is a hybrid position which requires a minimum of two days of work per week in the office, with up to three days of work per week remotely.  Specific duties include:  (1) engaging with internal clients to advise and shape projects to meet their needs by properly defining the stakeholder’s project objectives and mapping requirements appropriately; (2) creating properly aligned business cases for project concepts and gaining stakeholder approval to submit for leadership approval to begin project work; (3) mapping baselined requirements to their respective project objectives, gain stakeholder agreement and align tasks into a manageable work breakdown structure and lead a team to deliver those projects so that they meet and/or exceed customer expectations; (4) creating value-added project deliverables based on review and agreement with stakeholders and leadership; (5) end-to-end delivery of projects by working with geographically dispersed teams comprised of all disciplines required to deliver IT solutions to customers, including architects, business analysts, application engineers, quality assurance & testers; (6) executing projects within agreed timeline, scope, budget and quality and including developing objectives and plans to deliver on the business case benefits, budget and timescales; (7) performing the project management processes - i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management ensuring that the required artifacts (e.g. project charter) are delivered and approved appropriately; (8) closing the project and formalizing acceptance of the project results by ensuring that the benefits realization have been achieved or a formal plan is in place to manage these; (9) communicating with project teams, management, customers, and stakeholders including implementing and working through defined governance processes; (10) monitoring and managing project baseline to ensure activities are occurring as planned - scope, budget and schedule and managing variances; (11) demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills in leading the project team in issue resolution; and (12) demonstrating intellectual curiosity to understand end to end business processes and assist in create short- and long-term solutions drive business productivity.

This is a hybrid position which requires a minimum of two days of work per week in the office, with up to three days of work per week remotely.

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology and Management, or Computer Engineering and three years of experience with business intelligence or data analytics in a corporate IT environment.

Must have experience with: (1) SSMS; (2) Business Analysis experience for IT projects; (3) Microsoft Power BI; (4) advanced level experience with Power BI DAX; (5) Snowflake Data Cloud; (6) Matillion ETL tool; (7) DevOps; (8) Power BI add-ons: DAX Studio, ALM Toolkit and Tabular Editor; (9) Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne; (10) working for a manufacturing company; and (11) dealing with multi-currency transactions and currency conversions.
