Presently this position is in a hybrid status with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office for collaboration, teamwork, and business needs.  The status and minimum in-office requirements are subject to change based on evolving business needs.

Overview

The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Corporate Controller and plays a key role in overseeing the corporate accounting function. This position is responsible for managing global accounting operations, including consolidation and elimination processes, intercompany accounting, corporate accruals, acquisition and divestiture accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role also involves leading financial systems initiatives, process improvements, and training programs for the accounting team.

As a liaison to finance and accounting teams across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, the Accounting Manager ensures consistent and comprehensive global processes. Additional responsibilities include supporting internal and external audits, managing integration efforts related to acquisitions, and contributing to financial system and process enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise accounting personnel, including external resources as needed, to achieve     departmental goals.
  • Develop and deliver monthly reports and dashboards in collaboration with IT, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development for team members.
  • Conduct finance and system training for accounting staff and broader finance teams.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close and global consolidation activities.
  • Maintain and document internal controls across general accounting processes, including financial close, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
  • Oversee global intercompany accounting to ensure proper elimination during consolidation.
  • Support financial reporting requirements, including internal management reports and statutory filings.
  • Manage accounting integration for acquisitions/divestitures, including intercompany transactions and legal entity changes.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within corporate accounting.
  • Promote best practices, lean standards, and automation across global accounting functions.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and support the development and implementation of accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Tax department to ensure accurate accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.
  • Manage quarterly revenue deferral processes for North America in coordination with business units and customer service teams.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors regarding accounting matters.
  • Present in finance meetings and training sessions as needed.
  • Lead and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience required.
  • CPA certification or Master’s degree preferred.


Years of Experience and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical accounting, acquisition integration, or system implementation preferred
  • Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
