Presently this position is in onsite. The status and minimum in-office requirements are subject to change based on evolving business needs.

Overview

The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of workers and visitors in the distribution facility. They patrol the facility to identify and report any potential safety hazards, such as spills, leaks, or faulty equipment. They also enforce safety policies and procedures and provide coaching to employees on safe work practices. The role will support three locations. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work under limited supervision, exercising sound judgment in the execution of safety and operational responsibilities. 
  • Learn, model, and promote company values (including ProDriven Brands’ We Are One values) by serving as a visible safety and leadership example on the warehouse floor. 
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards. 
  • Patrol and monitor warehouse operations to proactively identify, report, and mitigate unsafe conditions, behaviors, and hazards. 
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees on safe work practices; address and resolve safety concerns directly where feasible. 
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and checklists, and clearly communicate findings, corrective actions, and concerns within the department and across other functional areas. 
  • Log, assign, track, and communicate safety action items, ensuring timely follow-up and closure of corrective measures. 
  • Participate in and lead incident investigations, including near misses and injuries, to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. 
  • Coordinate and assist with safety training programs, including new hire orientation, refresher training, and job-specific safety instruction. 
  • Assist in coordinating emergency preparedness activities, including drills and response training; actively participate as a member of the emergency responder and/or first aid team, train the trainer etc. 
  • Serve as an active member of safety committees, attending meetings and contributing to continuous safety improvement initiatives. 
  • Monitor and analyze safety metrics and KPIs, preparing reports and recommendations to support data-driven safety and operational decisions. 
  • Partner with Operations, HR, and leadership to integrate safety into daily warehouse operations and strengthen the overall safety culture. 
  • Develop and maintain a leadership structure that supports safe, efficient, and consistent warehouse operations. 
  • Ensure proper use and compliance with PPE requirements and safe material-handling practices. 
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, in accordance with applicable laws. 
  • Carry out other duties reasonably associated with the role, or as assigned by management, within the scope of responsibilities. 

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, and Certifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred or equivalent work experience required 
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct safety experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. 
  • Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA safety standards required. 
  • Experience with Safe Start or Move Smart programs is a plus. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Strong attention to detail.

Travel Requirements 

  • 10% ~ 20% travel domestically required
